Maria Modopoulos

Born in Kastoria Greece, and raised in Toronto Canada, Maria Modopoulos has always had a deep passion for Art. Maria was awarded a three-year scholarship to study at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), following which she also attended the Ontario College of Art. These studies allowed her to experiment and develop her own unique style.

Inspired by the Masters, Dali and the world around her, Maria paints primarily with oils and acrylics on canvas, capturing the heart and soul of her subjects.

From a very young age, Maria began drawing and painting portraits, always fascinated with how eyes held so much life in them. Every portrait painting needs to capture the exact likeness, heart and soul of the animal or person Maria paints.
